Update for hoopla users

We’ve had to make a change regarding Hoopla: usage by CAPL patrons has increased by a total of 50% from two years ago and has more than doubled (a 152% increase) from 2019. While we are happy that hoopla is a popular service, we need to make this service sustainable within the Library budget. To help with this issue, you may notice less audiobook availability, but many of the same audiobooks will continue to be accessible through Libby. Meeting demand in Libby costs less for the Library because the pricing structure is different.

We understand that this change may inconvenience some users, but it is necessary to make hoopla financially sustainable. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us online or submit a comment card at the Service Center during your next visit.
